This week was incredible. One of my favorite things about the mission so far is seeing my investigators life change. weve been teaching this 25 year old girl. she has 2 kids, and lives with her husband and her parents. she supports all of them by working insane hours, because her husband uses the money from his job to drink and buy drugs. her daughter and her older sister died about a year ago, unexpectedly. the first time we met with her, she broke down as she opened up to us about her life. it was heartbreaking. she was so lonely and confused and sad and hopeless. we were able to share with her about Heavenly Father and his love. As we have continued to meet with her, its been wonderful to see hope and healing come into her life.
we also have this recent convert, srei nuen, that we taught and baptized about a month ago. she was learning with the sisters before i got here, and i remember the first time i met with her, she was this fun 17 year old girl that didnt super care about a ton of things-just liked to have a lot of fun. and now shes this stong young women who works in the primary and brings her neice with her and loves to meet with us.
The Atonement of Jesus Christ truly changes lives. I am in awe of how merciful and loving Christ is. He takes us wherever we are-if we have no hope, if we have no money, if we have no food, if we have the wrong priorities, if we have nothing or if we have everything, or whatever, and if we let him, he will turn our life into something incredible.
right now we are teaching bong tia ri and soom ali. please pray that they will be able to find a way to come to chruch! they live super far from the chruch, and dont have any transportation!
Have a great week!
